IN PROCESS

FEBRUARY 2008

The stories have been piling up as I venture west, destination, Mendocino, California. I think road trips are good for the soul, you certainly learn alot about yourself and how you respond to all kinds of unforeseen situations like black ice on the road, prairie fires, falling rock, flooding, high winds and a white-out blizzard at night. I have a new level of FEAR! but along with that fear there's also a confidence, trust, and sense of humor as I am continually reminded that I am living life in appreciation and gratitude, "this moment is my home...."

Leaving sacramento I drove through endless fields of vineyards as I crossed the napa valley admiring the first signs of spring blossoms (feeling like I could be in france) then heading north on winding, winding, winding roads, passing through landscapes of farmland, mountains, steep hillsides covered with mossy stones and fog and Alas! the majestic Redwood Forest. There is such a familiarity with the landscape, its a full body sensory embrace. All I can do is wander about till the last possible light. I am definitely, very much, in process and insatiable.
